Giclée Prints
Giclée is French for 'spraying'. The term is used in the art market to describe the high-resolution, high technology, digital print process. The prints are produced on archive quality, mould-made, acid free 308gsm Hahnemühle PhotoRag fine art paper, developed specially for use with the latest light-fast inks. Each print is given a further UV resistant coating to protect the image.
Tests on the inks show the prints have lightfast expectancy of 70 years without noticeable fade in average indoor conditions. Handle the prints as little as possible and then only by their edges. Avoid touching the printed image. All prints should be professionally framed.
Although the inks are lightfast it is prudent to avoid placing them in direct sunlight.

Saturday MorningStonor Cricket Club’s Oxfordshire ground is ‘the most beautiful cricket ground in England - if not the world’. Light & Shade, DartingtonThe Great Hall, Dartington, home of the famous Dartington International Summer School of Music - was built in 1388. It subsequently fell into ruin. It was restored in 1925 as a performance space. It has since been the venue for various wonderful musical and other activities, including the first performances - often the only performances - of many masterpieces of modern classical music.

ZazziZazzi was based on a building that stood on the corner of Culvert Road and Seven Sisters Road, London N15. It caught my eye one day as I was driving past. Why it interested me, I've no idea. I stopped to look closer. I loved it and still do. Later I went back to draw and take reference photographs. I worked on 'Zazzi' for over a year. Much later I was contacted by a man living in Italy. He, too, was entranced. The house had been his birthplace and childhood home. He turned out to be a Tottenham fan, wouldn't you know it.

Dala HorsesDala horses are a symbol of Swedish goodwill, frugality and dexterity. Carving the stocky, snub-nosed, tailless horses has long been a Swedish tradition. They became world famous when they were painted bright red and decorated with kurbits, a biblical touch.

Dartington SoloThe Great Hall, at Dartington - home of the famous Dartington International Summer School of Music - was built for the half-brother of Richard II. We holidayed there for many a year, not actually staying inside the Hall you understand. I painted and drew aspects of the building and its Gothic windows many times, while enjoying the sweet airs of summer and the drone of nearby bagpipes.

La MalvinieThere it was on the window-sill of the barn, a half-full jug of water, catching the sunlight against the dark interior. In the glass, the house was reflected twice, one image inverted, all glowing in the south of France sun. Later I introduced the wooden plank, the hanging metal bar and the red agricultural twine.
